Vanessa Prinz, IBCLC, and part time working mother of four, will lead this two hour class that will give you a step by step guide to returning to work and continuing to breast feed. Class is ideal for moms returning to work in four to eight weeks. Open to all moms even if you have not had a private consultation with a JOC consultant. Some of the topics covered will include planning with your employer, legal rights, pumping equipment, fit, techniques and frequency, how much milk to offer/store per day, breastmilk management/storage, caregiver training and supply concerns.
Class is held monthly, usually on the third Tuesday of the month at Sweet Pea Yoga Studio (3717 N. Ravenswood, Suites 213-214, Chicago). Class is offered over the lunch hour so feel free to bring a snack or a lunch to eat. Babies are welcome in class, but coming without the baby may help you focus on the material. You are welcome to pump during class if needed!
We cannot offer refunds; however, if you are unable to attend, we will happily sign you up for another date or will provide the materials shared in class to you and will arrange for a 15 minute phone consultation with Vanessa at a mutually agreed upon time.
